Detroit's top-seeded run through the East semifinals was cut short by Cleveland's 125-94 victory at home.
The Detroit Pistons' 60-win turnaround season ended Sunday night with a 125-94 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Cavaliers controlled the pace and physicality from the opening tip, leaving Detroit unable to generate consistent offense at home in the deciding game.
Coach Monty Bickerstaff said the Pistons will learn from the blowout. Detroit forced the series to Game 7 with a road win Friday but could not replicate that performance when it mattered most.
