InjuryFantasy impact

The Phillies' right fielder will miss at least two months after injuring his shoulder making a throw to home plate.

The Phillies placed right fielder Adolis García on the 60-day injured list Wednesday with a right lat tear, suffered while throwing to the plate during a win over Toronto. García, 33, had appeared in 32 games this season with a .241 average, 3 home runs, and 11 RBI.

Philadelphia called up prospect Gabriel Rincones Jr. to fill the roster spot. García's absence removes a veteran bat from the outfield rotation at the season's midpoint, forcing the team to adjust depth heading toward the trade deadline.
