The Chicago Bulls have set their 2026 Las Vegas Summer League roster, and the headliner is the one Chicago most wants to watch: No. 4 overall pick Caleb Wilson. The team released the group this week, days after signing Wilson and Dailyn Swain to their rookie deals. The Bulls open Friday, July 10, against the Memphis Grizzlies and No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer.

Wilson, the former North Carolina forward, is the reason this roster matters. For a franchise that has spent years stuck between the play-in and the lottery, Summer League is the first tangible look at whether the rebuild has an identity to build around. Everything in Las Vegas will be measured against how the ball moves through him.

Around Wilson, the Bulls have stacked developmental intrigue. Dailyn Swain, the No. 15 pick, gets a runway, and Noa Essengue — the 6-foot-11 forward taken 12th in 2025 who appeared in just two games before shoulder surgery — gets a delayed first real showcase. Former Northwestern all-time leading scorer Boo Buie and sharpshooter Antonio Reeves add veteran polish, while two-way wings Jaylin Sellers and Tobe Awaka should see heavy minutes.

The schedule does the roster no favors, which is the point. After Boozer’s Grizzlies, Chicago draws Darryn Peterson and the Utah Jazz on July 13, then No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards on July 14. Three straight top-of-the-draft matchups is a useful stress test for a young core that needs to prove it can hang with the class ahead of it.

For fantasy purposes, Summer League is a dynasty-only exercise, and Wilson is the name to track: his on-ball usage and minutes load in Vegas will hint at whether he opens his rookie season with real offensive responsibility or a complementary role. Essengue is the sleeper watch after a lost first year, while Swain profiles as a longer-term stash. None of this moves a redraft board yet, but the reps shape the fall.
