Aaron Donald
3× NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2017, 2018, 2020). 10× Pro Bowl. 8× First-Team All-Pro. Super Bowl LVI champion. Retired March 2024.
Aaron Donald was born May 23, 1991 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn Hills High School (suburban Pittsburgh) and stayed home for college at the University of Pittsburgh — playing 4 years (2010-13) and winning every major DT award as a senior. The St. Louis Rams selected him 13th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. Despite being widely considered undersized for an NFL DT (6'1", 280 lbs), he became the most-decorated interior defensive lineman in NFL history. He won 3 Defensive Player of the Year awards (2017, 2018, 2020), made the Pro Bowl in every single season of his career, and was a First-Team All-Pro 8 times. He won Super Bowl LVI in February 2022 over the Cincinnati Bengals — the championship he had said publicly was his career goal. He retired in March 2024 at age 32, healthy, and largely considered the greatest defensive tackle ever. He's eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2029.
