49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was injured in a car accident on July 14, per reports. Shanahan told reporters the crash was his fault and sustained a broken nose, three broken ribs, a broken hand, a concussion, and facial lacerations requiring more than 40 stitches.

Shanahan's status for the remainder of training camp and the preseason has not been announced. The 49ers are in the opening weeks of their summer schedule.
