In The Rafters exists to give readers fast sports context without hiding how the work is made. This policy explains our sourcing, automation, corrections, and labeling standards.
Sourcing
News items begin with public sports reporting, league/team feeds, and public scoreboard data. Every article links to the originating source when available. Game pages use public scoreboard and summary data, then add In The Rafters context around form, rosters, players, and model accountability.
Automation and human intent
Our publishing system is automated so the site can cover four leagues every day. The automation is constrained by site rules: no invented quotes, no hidden betting framing, no stale roster assumptions, no unsupported injury claims, and no unlabeled sponsored copy.
Corrections
When a material fact is wrong, we update the page and preserve a correction note when the change affects the reader’s understanding. Send correction requests through /corrections/.
Sponsored content
Advertising may fund the site, but sponsors do not control news conclusions, model output, box scores, or correction decisions. Sponsored placements must be labeled.
