The defensive backs coach was suspended without pay following a guilty plea to a misdemeanor DWI charge.
The Vikings suspended defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander without pay for three weeks after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor third-degree DWI, per ESPN's Kevin Seifert. Alexander, 42, was arrested on April 26 in Minnesota and entered his guilty plea on July 16.
The suspension leaves Minnesota's secondary coaching staff short-handed during the final stretch of training camp and into the preseason. The team has not announced a replacement or interim coverage plan for the position.
