The former NBA forward moves to Besiktas after a stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Wenyen Gabriel has signed with Turkish club Besiktas, per Eurohoops.net. Gabriel played 150 NBA games across stints with the Lakers, Grizzlies, and other clubs, including a five-game run with Memphis in 2023/24. He spent the 2024 offseason with EuroLeague's Maccabi Tel Aviv before joining Besiktas this offseason.
Gabriel's most substantial NBA season came in 2022/23 with the Lakers, when he appeared in 68 games. His path from the NBA to the Turkish league reflects the offseason movement of veteran depth pieces seeking consistent playing time overseas.
