Friday’s game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Guardians was postponed because of poor air quality in Cleveland, the result of smoke from Canadian wildfires.
The teams will play a split doubleheader Saturday. The makeup game starts at 1:10 p.m. ET, with the originally scheduled game pushed back three hours to 7:10 p.m. Jared Jones and Gavin Williams were Friday’s scheduled starters. Braxton Ashcraft (9-3, 3.49) is listed against left-hander Joey Cantillo in Saturday’s nightcap.
Pittsburgh entered the weekend 50-47 on a three-game winning streak, 1 1/2 games out of the final National League wild-card spot.
Fantasy managers with Ashcraft or Jones rostered should recheck lineups Saturday morning — a split doubleheader means two starts on the same day and a real chance of a late change to either pitching plan.
