Detroit cleared roster space by moving Short after bringing McKinstry back from the IL.
The Tigers designated infielder Zack Short for assignment and reinstated infielder Zach McKinstry from the 10-day injured list. Short, acquired from Washington to fill depth amid Detroit's recent injuries, was removed from the roster to make room for McKinstry's return.
