Baltimore's third-year starter exits with inflammation after three starts and a 4.41 ERA in early May.
The Orioles placed Cade Povich on the 15-day injured list due to left elbow inflammation. Povich, 26, has made three starts this season with a 1-1 record, 4.41 ERA, and 16.1 innings pitched. Right-hander Trey Gibson was called up from Triple-A in the corresponding move and threw two innings of relief Friday in a 4-3 loss to Oakland.
