Los Angeles faces a roster crunch when Mookie Betts returns from a five-week oblique injury Monday.
Mookie Betts will be activated off the injured list Monday after missing five weeks with a strained oblique. The Dodgers must clear a roster spot by optioning Alex Freeland or Hyeseong Kim, or designating Santiago Espinal for assignment. Freeland (second baseman, 26 GP, 18 H, 1 HR) and Kim (shortstop, 22 GP, 17 H, 1 HR) are both early-career players still in their second seasons; Espinal is a 31-year-old utility infielder with seven years of experience.
