Vegas defenseman Brayden McNabb was thrown out for a five-minute major and misconduct after a hard hit left Anaheim's Ryan Poehling unable to return.

Brayden McNabb was ejected in the first period of Game 5 Tuesday night after a hard check into the boards left Anaheim center Ryan Poehling with an upper-body injury. McNabb received a five-minute major for interference and a game misconduct. Poehling did not return to the game.

Poehling, 27, has 36 points in 75 regular-season games this year. McNabb, 35 in his 14th season, is a first-pair defenseman for Vegas.
