Vegas loses its veteran defenseman for Game 5 against Anaheim with a 3-2 series lead.

Brayden McNabb drew a one-game suspension for a hit in Game 4, sidelining the Vegas defenseman for Thursday's Game 5 in Anaheim. The Golden Knights hold a 3-2 series lead and can clinch the conference semifinal without McNabb, their 35-year-old top-four defender who logged 63 games in the regular season.

The suspension removes one of Vegas's most reliable playoff pieces from the lineup at a critical juncture. McNabb's 14-year NHL pedigree and defensive role mean Vegas will need to adjust its blue-line deployment for the series-clinching opportunity.
