NewsShort note

Vegas loses its veteran defenseman for Game 6 Thursday against Anaheim.

Brayden McNabb has been suspended one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety for a hit on Ducks forward Ryan Poehling in Game 5. The incident occurred in the first period. McNabb, 35, has anchored Vegas defense for 14 seasons and logged 63 games this regular season.

The suspension forces the Golden Knights to replace McNabb on their blue line for Thursday's Game 6. Poehling, 27, is a center for Anaheim who had 36 points in 75 regular-season games this year.
