The Florida Panthers will have five players and five staff members competing at the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland. Aleksander Barkov, the team's 30-year-old center and captain, returns after injury. Matthew Tkachuk, the 28-year-old left wing, will chase membership in the Triple Gold Club—an honor earned by winning an Olympic gold medal, World Championship gold, and the Stanley Cup. Barkov won Olympic gold in 2018; Tkachuk has yet to secure a Stanley Cup.
The Panthers' presence in Switzerland represents ten total representatives across roster and support staff during the annual tournament, which falls during the NHL playoffs.
