Chicago adds a 21-year-old winger who led the KHL with 36 goals this season.

The Blackhawks agreed to a three-year contract with Roman Kantserov, a 21-year-old Russian winger and 2023 second-round pick. Kantserov led the KHL with 36 goals in 63 games this season for Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Kantserov, listed at 5-foot-9 and 176 pounds, joins Chicago's prospect pool as an international signing. The deal does not automatically place him on the NHL roster; timeline to North American ice time depends on visa, salary-cap positioning, and the club's forward depth chart heading into the 2026-27 season.
