Vegas faces NHL punishment for flagrant playoff violations.

The NHL has fined Golden Knights head coach John Tortorella $100,000 and stripped Vegas of its 2026 second-round draft pick for flagrant violations of Stanley Cup Playoff rules. The league did not specify which infractions triggered the sanctions, but the penalties arrive as Vegas prepares for the Western Conference Finals.

Tortorella is in his first season with the Golden Knights. The forfeited pick represents a material roster asset during a playoff run and shapes Vegas's near-term draft capital heading into the offseason.
