The Dodgers placed left-hander Blake Snell on the injured list with loose bodies in his throwing elbow, backdated to May 12. Charlie Barnes was recalled from the minors in the corresponding move, per reports from Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic and Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times.
Snell, signed as a free agent this offseason, had made four starts for Los Angeles before the placement. The timing and severity of the elbow issue remain unclear, but the IL move removes him from immediate rotation availability while the Dodgers evaluate the condition.
