Injury
Story, the team's starting shortstop, is sidelined ahead of tonight's game against Atlanta.
The Red Sox placed shortstop Trevor Story on the 10-day injured list before Saturday's game against the Braves. Story, 33, has played in 31 games this season with a .206 average, 2 home runs, and 17 RBI. The move clears a roster spot for infielder Nick Sogard, who will be called up to the active roster.
Story's absence removes the team's primary shortstop during a stretch when Boston remains in early-season roster flux. No specific injury was disclosed in the reports.
