The Blackhawks center will miss the rest of the tournament with an undisclosed injury.

Teuvo Teravainen will miss the remainder of the 2026 IIHF World Championship with an undisclosed injury, Team Finland announced Saturday. The 31-year-old center recorded two assists in Finland's opening win over Germany before the injury forced him out.

Teravainen, a 12-year NHL veteran, is in the midst of a down 25–26 regular season (14 G, 21 A, 35 PTS in 75 GP for Chicago), but his absence still leaves Finland without a top scorer for the rest of the tournament.
