Toronto removes the veteran reliever and calls up left-hander Adam Macko from Triple-A.
Tommy Nance, a 35-year-old right-hander in his fifth season with Toronto, was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right forearm discomfort. The Blue Jays recalled left-hander Adam Macko from Triple-A in the corresponding roster move. Macko was already on Toronto's 40-man roster.
Nance has appeared in 14 games this season with a 5.14 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts over 14.0 innings. The IL stint removes him from the relief mix while the team awaits further medical detail on the forearm issue.
