Seattle's April first-round pick will handle early-season carries while the team's top back recovers from injury.
Jadarian Price, the Seahawks' No. 32 overall pick out of Notre Dame, is lined up to handle Seattle's backfield workload to start the season. The move fills a void left by Kenneth Walker's trade to Kansas City and Zach Charbonnet's torn ACL recovery.
Charbonnet, 25, posted 730 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns across 16 games last season but is not expected back until well into the regular season. Price, 22 in his first NFL year, will get early reps during the remainder of the offseason and preseason.
