Minnesota's starter will miss time after the playoffs end.

Filip Gustavsson will undergo hip surgery in the offseason, The Athletic reported Monday. The Minnesota Wild goaltender, 27, has started 50 games this season with a .904 save percentage and 2.69 goals-against average. The timing of the procedure means Gustavsson's availability for next season remains uncertain pending post-op recovery.

The Wild are in the NHL playoffs; any lineup or goalie-rotation decisions for the rest of the postseason remain unannounced. The surgery's scope and recovery timeline were not disclosed in the report.
