InjuryFantasy impact

Texas loses its starting shortstop to a back injury that dates back three days.

Corey Seager was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 15 due to lower back inflammation. The Rangers recalled infielder/outfielder Michael Helman as the corresponding move. Seager, 32, is 31 games into his 12th season and had posted a .211 average (24-for-114) with 6 home runs and 17 RBI.

The IL stint removes the Rangers' established shortstop from the lineup during a 31-game sample in which roster moves and pitcher roles remain the primary drivers of daily context.
