Carolina released tight end Bryce Pierre as teams finalize OTA rosters ahead of voluntary workouts.

The Carolina Panthers waived tight end Bryce Pierre on an injury designation, clearing a roster spot during the offseason roster-setting window. Pierre, 25, was in his first NFL season. The Panthers also released running back Montrell Johnson and signed running back Miles Davis and defensive tackle Tywone Malone.

Teams across the league are consolidating rosters ahead of voluntary OTAs, which run through early June. The Green Bay Packers signed cornerback Marlon Jones Jr., among other moves.
