InjuryFantasy impact

Minnesota reshapes its roster after a slow start, sidelining its catcher and moving its third baseman down.

The Twins demoted Royce Lewis and designated Justin Topa for assignment. Lewis, 26, has managed just 13 hits in 70 at-bats with 3 home runs over 21 games this season. Topa, 35, posted a 3.29 ERA over 17 relief appearances.

Catcher Ryan Jeffers will miss weeks with an injury, removing Minnesota's primary backstop from the lineup. Jeffers, 28, had been on pace with 25 games played and 25 hits through mid-May. The moves signal early-season course corrections for a club still finding its footing.
