The Blackhawks center, 20, must be signed to an extension before the offseason window closes.

Connor Bedard heads the list of NHL restricted free agents entering the summer negotiation period. The 20-year-old center, in his third season with Chicago, posted 30 goals and 45 assists across 69 regular-season games, finishing at minus-18. Getting Bedard signed to a long-term deal before the RFA deadline is the Blackhawks' priority.

Bedard was the consensus top prospect entering the 2023 draft and has delivered at an NHL pace. The terms and length of his extension will shape Chicago's cap flexibility for years to come.
