The Royals' right fielder left Saturday's game against Minnesota and is now a short-term injury concern.

Jac Caglianone was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins with right shoulder soreness. The 23-year-old right fielder is in his second season with Kansas City and has appeared in 28 games this year, batting .253 with 3 home runs and 5 RBIs.

Caglianone's status for the rest of the weekend and into the week will depend on the severity of the shoulder issue. The Royals have not announced a timeline for his return.
