Minnesota brings back the third baseman after a rough start to 2026.
The Twins recalled Royce Lewis from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, designating outfielder James Outman for assignment. Lewis, 26, has struggled in his first stint this season, posting a .163/.261/.279 line over 21 games and 70 at-bats with 3 home runs and 10 RBI. Outman, 28, appeared in 25 games for Minnesota with a .129 average on 4 hits in 31 at-bats.
The move opens a spot on the 40-man roster. Lewis, a five-year veteran since his 2022 debut, returns to compete for time at third base; Outman's designation ends his tenure with the club.
