Rice remains at first base as New York juggles depth around the diamond.

Ben Rice will stay at first base despite recent roster movement in the Yankees organization. The 27-year-old first baseman, in his third season, is not being considered for a catching role. Rice is batting .330 (34-for-103) with 11 home runs and 26 RBI in 31 games this season.

Separately, Yankees starter Cam Schlittler has been named to start an upcoming game against Boston. Schlittler, 25, is 4-1 with a 1.51 ERA and 0.74 WHIP through seven starts this year.
