Washington signed a four-year extension worth $42 million with $21 million guaranteed after career highs in 2025.

Darnell Washington and the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to a four-year, $42 million extension that includes $21 million guaranteed. The deal rewards the 24-year-old tight end after he posted career highs in 2025 with 31 receptions for 364 yards and one touchdown across 16 games.

Washington is in his fourth year with Pittsburgh. The extension locks him in as the Steelers' primary tight end through the 2029 season and removes a potential free agency decision at the position heading into the offseason.
