Cincinnati frees up room to address offseason needs while Burrow remains the franchise quarterback.

The Bengals restructured Joe Burrow ‘s contract to create additional cap space, per the report. Burrow, 29, is in year seven of his NFL career and came off an 8-game 2025 season in which he threw 17 TD and 5 INT with a 100.7 rating before injury ended his year.

The move is a routine cap management step during the offseason. Restructures typically convert salary into signing bonuses, deferring cash hits but keeping the player in place.

No change to Burrow’s role or status with the team is implied.
