Colorado's captain earned both honors after returning from a serious knee injury.
Gabriel Landeskog was presented with the Mark Messier Leadership Award and the Masterton Memorial Trophy on Tuesday. The Masterton is given to the player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. Landeskog, 33, has spent 12 seasons with the Avalanche and logged 60 games this regular season with 14 goals and 21 assists.
The awards come after Landeskog's return from a serious knee injury that sidelined him through much of the preceding period. Both honors reflect his recovery and his standing within the organization and the league.
