Injury

The 25-year-old rookie was injured during warmups in his debut appearance.

Brewers reliever Brian Fitzpatrick sought a second opinion after being diagnosed with a partial UCL sprain, sustained while throwing warmup pitches in a 9-7 victory at Colorado. Fitzpatrick had been called up from Triple-A Nashville earlier that same day and was injured during his first appearance in the majors.

In his limited 2026 debut, Fitzpatrick has appeared in two games with a 1.71 WHIP across 2.1 innings and two strikeouts. The injury timing—hours after his promotion—leaves his availability for the remainder of the season uncertain pending the outcome of the second opinion.
