InjuryFantasy impact

The Dodgers' starting catcher is sidelined with a neck issue midseason.

The Dodgers placed Will Smith on the 10-day injured list June 11 with neck inflammation, per manager Dave Roberts. Robinson was selected to take his roster spot. Smith, 31, has started 28 games this season with a .272 average, 3 home runs, and 15 RBI across 92 at-bats.

The move comes as Los Angeles approaches the All-Star break and trade deadline. Smith's absence creates an immediate catch vacancy in the lineup and opens the door for Robinson to see extended run behind the plate.
