InjuryFantasy impact

The right-hander will face former rotation mate Framber Valdez and Detroit after missing more than two months with a shoulder strain.

Hunter Brown will be activated and start for the Astros on Tuesday against the Tigers, per the team. Brown has been sidelined since April 2 with a Grade 2 shoulder strain. He'll face Framber Valdez, the Detroit starter who spent the previous nine seasons in Houston's rotation.

Brown's return fills a rotation slot for a Houston team that has navigated the injury absence since spring training. Valdez, 32, has made seven starts for the Tigers this season (2-1, 3.35 ERA, 40.1 IP, 32 K).
