Chicago waived LB Dominique Hampton and kicker Gabriel Plascencia on the opening day of OTA season.

The Chicago Bears waived LB Dominique Hampton and kicker Gabriel Plascencia on Tuesday, clearing roster spots during the start of organized team activities. Hampton, a 25-year-old with two seasons of experience, had appeared in limited defensive snaps last season. Plascencia was a rookie kicker who saw no game action.

The moves shape as typical offseason housekeeping ahead of mandatory minicamp. The Bears also signed WR Kaden Davis and LB Tony Fields II to fill depth at both positions.
