Milwaukee clears a roster spot for Cooper Pratt after betting on the veteran infielder in the offseason.
The Brewers designated third baseman Luis Rengifo for assignment Tuesday, clearing a roster spot for recalled infielder Cooper Pratt. Rengifo, 29, signed with Milwaukee on an offseason flier after a solid 2022–24 run with the Angels. In 27 games this season, he had posted a .191 average (17-for-89) with 8 doubles and 10 RBI across 89 at-bats.
The move ends a brief stint in Milwaukee. Rengifo will have seven days to be traded, claimed, or released.
