The Guardians rookie right fielder is sidelined with a small fracture and bone bruise.

Chase DeLauter is day to day with a small fracture and bone bruise in his right rib, Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters. DeLauter, a 24-year-old in his second season, sat out Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Milwaukee. Vogt did not rule out the possibility of a stint on the injured list.

DeLauter has appeared in 30 games this season with a .286 average, 13 runs, 5 home runs, and 20 RBI across 105 at-bats. His availability will be monitored through the coming days as Cleveland navigates the middle stretch of the season.
