InjuryFantasy impact

The Detroit second baseman returns to the 10-day IL with a recurring left oblique injury.

The Tigers placed second baseman Gleyber Torres on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left oblique strain, the same injury that sidelined him from May 4 through June 2. Torres, 29, is batting .246 (28-for-114) with 2 home runs and 10 RBI across 31 games this season.

Right-hander Casey Mize was reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Torres' absence removes one of Detroit's veteran bats from the lineup as the team heads toward the All-Star break and trade deadline.
