The Cincinnati Reds placed left-hander Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a blister on his left index finger, one day after he left his final start before the break against the Cubs after five innings. Blisters on Lodolo’s pitching hand have interrupted his seasons before, and this one stopped him at 3-2 with a 4.60 ERA through 12 starts. Chase Petty was recalled from Triple-A Louisville in the corresponding move (MLB.com).
For fantasy purposes, Lodolo is droppable in shallow leagues with no return date announced; stash him in deeper formats only if an IL spot is free.
