The San Francisco 49ers waived offensive lineman Zachary Thomas, whom they had signed to a reserve/future contract in January, per 49ers Webzone. Thomas, a sixth-round pick of the Bears in 2022, appeared in 17 career games without a start across stints with Chicago, the Rams, Patriots, Texans and Colts. The move clears a roster spot as San Francisco’s rookies report and veterans arrive July 25 ahead of camp opening July 26.
