Billy Bowman Jr. did not participate in full team drills this spring while recovering from the ruptured Achilles that ended his rookie season, but the Atlanta Falcons expect him to do more when training camp opens July 29, per senior reporter Tori McElhaney of atlantafalcons.com. Free-agent addition Darnay Holmes has been the team’s primary nickel throughout the offseason, and McElhaney reports Holmes is the early answer at the position if Bowman needs more time. Whether Bowman is cleared for Week 1 remains open.
