The Utah Jazz ended their Summer League schedule with an 83-79 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night, a grinder with 11 ties and 10 lead changes that Utah took with a 49-43 second half. Both teams are done in Las Vegas: the Jazz finish 2-3, and Portland closes at 2-3 as well.

Utah won it without its headliners. Darryn Peterson, Ace Bailey and Cody Williams all sat the finale, per SLC Dunk’s pregame report — consistent with how carefully Utah has metered Peterson’s workload all month, including the rest night that preceded Wednesday’s loss to San Antonio. With the finale meaningless to the playoff round, there was nothing left for the No. 2 pick to prove in July.

The available roster made the win ugly and earned. Utah shot 38 percent from the field but held Portland under 34, and dominated every effort category: 46-32 in the paint, 23-10 in second-chance points, 25-13 on the break. Justin Harmon led all Jazz scorers with 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, Orlando Robinson posted 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, and Matt Cleveland added 11.

Portland got 16 points and six rebounds from Jalen Bridges and 12 from Flynn Cameron, while Yang Hansen finished his strong summer quietly — nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks on a night the Blazers couldn’t buy a basket around him.

On the fantasy side, the finale changes nothing at the top: Peterson leaves Vegas as the consensus No. 1 rookie-draft pick, and the sit-outs were workload management, not injury news. Harmon and Robinson are names for those tracking Utah’s camp battles — Robinson’s rebounding and rim protection give him the clearer path to real minutes on a young frontcourt — while Yang Hansen’s double-digit rebounding closes a summer that nudged his dynasty stock upward.
