Blue Jackets center Isac Lundestrom underwent successful surgery on the Achilles he injured in offseason training, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers, with a return expected in November — the better of the two timelines GM Don Waddell had outlined. Lundestrom, who first disclosed the injury to Norrbottens-Kuriren in early July, will miss roughly the season’s first six weeks. The 26-year-old had four goals and eight assists in 68 games in a fourth-line role last season and enters the final year of his contract at a $1.3 million cap hit. He has no fantasy relevance outside the deepest formats while he recovers.
