Texas adds a relief arm and catcher depth in a division trade while clearing 40-man space.

The Angels and Rangers completed an intra-division trade Wednesday, with Texas acquiring reliever Chase Silseth and catcher Logan O'Hoppe in exchange for infield prospect Angel Arredondo. Silseth, 25, has posted a 3.18 ERA with 1.85 WHIP over 16 appearances for Los Angeles this season.

Texas created 40-man roster space by moving catcher Danny Jansen and rookie reliever Jose Corniell to the 60-day injured list. Jansen, 31, is in his ninth season and has appeared in 22 games for the Rangers this year.
