Injury
The Twins center fielder returns to the injured list with a recurring hip issue.
The Twins placed Byron Buxton on the 10-day IL with a right hip impingement. Buxton, 32, spent 15 days on the IL earlier this month with the same injury. Through 30 games this season, he is batting .260 with 9 home runs and a .331 slugging percentage.
The recurring nature of the injury leaves Minnesota's center field depth in question as the team approaches the trade deadline. Buxton has appeared in only 30 games in 2026 after spending much of his 12-year career managing recurring lower-body issues.
