The Wizards guard tore his left knee in Summer League and will miss the start of the 2026-27 season.
Wizards guard Jamir Watkins underwent surgery Thursday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced. Watkins suffered the injury in Washington's Summer League opener on July 9 against the Jazz in Las Vegas.
Watkins, 24, appeared in 50 games last season (7 starts) and averaged 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 20.6 minutes. The injury wipes out the remainder of his Summer League and puts his availability in question for training camp and the regular season.
