The Giants' top receiver cleared a key checkpoint in his recovery from October knee surgery.

Malik Nabers practiced Wednesday for the first time since undergoing ACL surgery in October, telling reporters Thursday he felt great during the session. The Giants' No. 1 receiver tore his ACL in Week 6 last season after posting 18 receptions for 271 yards and 2 touchdowns across four games.

Nabers' return to practice during training camp signals he is progressing through his recovery on schedule. Whether he is available for the start of the regular season will become clearer as camp continues and the team evaluates his mobility and conditioning.
